Weekly lessons also work from the assessment base and in our experience using the two hour sessions is usually more economic than one hour sessions due to the amount of time spent on non specific driving/booking
e.g. :-
A 1 HOUR Lesson:
This leaves a potential learning time of 35-45 minutes
When applied to a 2 HOUR lesson:
This leaves a potential learning time of 1 hour 35-45 minutes
With the optimum learning time being approximately 1 hour 45 minutes according to most teaching and learning bodies it is evident that the 2 hour system assists in the continuity of learning thus reducing the effect of three steps forwards and two steps backwards as many people describe the one hour lesson per week.
Another plus is that 22 hours taken 1 hour per week takes 22 weeks to complete and the pupil may require more hours as above but if taken in 2 hour units only takes 11 weeks to reach your test.
5 minutes meet greet and pay for the lesson/book next lesson
5-10 minutes to get to the location where the lesson is to take place
5-10 minutes to return home after the practice is carried out
